Great work on this one! Using a lack of color to bring focus to the foreground, and that nice bold sharp outline really makes everything pop.

The detail work in the inking is great, and the extra attention to hair flow and individual strands really stands out that you took your time on this!

Really lovely piece. I like the sense of suspense. Feels like the viewer stumbled into the scene, and both of them are frozen in a snapshot of time. Again, you did amazing on this one, keep up the good work

DoctorSpectre responds:

dang, thanks a ton!! You really nailed the idea I was going for, like a fateful encounter in the woods with a wild animal lol

I love this so much, thank you so much for drawing her!

I really like how this turned out! The mix of textures, soft shading, and the little bits of color in the inkwork really tie it all together. I also I like how fun and soft the entire piece looks, has a nice warm atmosphere which suits the colors you used, great work here!

Yolkbyte responds:

thanks! but all of my art looks like that to be honest haha

This is so darn cute

Man, it's really cool to zoom in and look at all the detail in the shading lines! I really like how you rendered the face and eyes, and the chrome-like lighting is awesome. She has this unsettling horror vibe... but also she's cute

DoctorSpectre responds:

AAA Thanks!! You said exactly what I was aiming for with this, so I'm glad it conveyed! I spent way too long on the details, I'm glad people actually zoom in

This is such a dang good mood.

Great job on the perspective, and I like the soft colors in contrast to the grayscale texture work, looks fantastic man!

TheBestBroster responds:

Thank you I'm glad you like it!! And thanks for complimenting the colors n stuff :D

Love the background work here man, nice work! The dynamic perspective really makes it pop, and the blend of colors is really pleasing to the eye. I like that you went so far as to add the color bounce-light into the armor, it looks so dang cool with the brush textures you used

TheBestBroster responds:

Happy you noticed all the lil details n stuff I put in!! thank you!

Greenpath is always the first area that pops into my head when I think of Hollow Knight. I'm glad someone else appreciates the music there as well. Probably my favorite song of the entire OST.

Love the somber feeling here. Lost, alone, a little sad, but still pressing onwards. A little bit of melancholy while he travels towards the long road ahead

Love the flow of things, and the atmosphere of it all as it progresses through the story. Slowly revealing what events occurred before the first page of part 1, giving the protagonist his motivations, and showing him swallowing his fear to do what he needs to do (even if he needs to fabricate a personal fantasy to overcome it).

Having the fight turn against his favor in a flurry of action and high stakes kept me wondering what would happen all the way up to the end, where things swung full circle and returned to the start, metaphorically, where all things get put to rest (including the story itself).

Just great stuff all around, love the work man!

Thank you so much for drawing her! She turned out so cute here! 😊

KittyhawkMontrose responds:

No worries! So glad you like the piece. She's a cutie!

Just a chill dude who makes art, and terrible jokes.
Keep the sun always in your heart!
